What do you look for in Vitamin Supplements?

Purchasing vitamin supplements can be a daunting task. We've all been into a health food store where we are forced to make a choice of shelf after shelf of the same supplement. Leaving us bewildered and buying based on price.

So what should we be looking for?

Well, here are my top 5 things to look for when choosing a company to buy your supplements from.

What are your vitamin supplements made from? Is it made from whole foods and not just "natural" sources such as petroleum, tree bark, pond scum, saline gas or oyster shells? Are the products regulated in the country you live in? Most products in health foods stores are not regulated.

We use whole foods to make our products. Ingredients include foods such as whole grains, red bell peppers, strawberries, peaches, blueberries, etc. - things found in the human food chain and known to be safe for thousands of years.

Raw material enter our manufacturing facility and tested for purity and nutrient content, the product is manufactured and retested. When the product enters the warehouse in Canada it is placed in quarantine and tested again before it is released to you the customer.

You can be assured that what's on the label is in the product.

Does the Company have a Scientific Advisory Board or just a good looking doctor who endorses the products? Are these scientists involved in research and development of the products? Does the company have their own labs and manufacturing facilities?

Dr. Arthur Furst

Our Scientific Advisory Board was founded by Dr. Arthur Furst, one of the top toxicologists in the world. He wrote the Clean Water Act for the U.S., and developed oral chemotherapy. When Dr. Furst was doing research on cancer, he found there were nutrients in food that prevent disease and so led him to us because of our whole food philosophy.

Our board of scientists are involved in the research and development of the products from beginning to end. We own our own manufacturing facilities in California and Europe and manufacture only our product so there is never any chance of cross contamination with anyone else product.

Is the company involved with organizations around the world such as the World Health Organization, the New York Academy of Sciences, Center of Disease Control, etc?

We are affiliated with the World Health Organization, Center for Disease Control and the first company to be invited to speak at the New York Academy of Sciences. We also have a seat at the Council for Responsible Nutrition.

Do they have independent studies published on their products in peer reviewed scientific journals such as American Journal of Clinaical Nutrition? Are there any clinical studies done on humans on what the products do at the cellular level?

Do the products work?

Without a doubt our vitamin supplements work and for 50 years we've offered great nutritional products to people in over 50 countries. When it comes to product testing our manufacturing facility is privately owned. What does that mean to you the consumer? Well, that means that you can be assured that our product has not been cross contaminated with anything else less favorable. It also means that we guarantee that what's on the label is in the product.

Our scientific leadership in the nutritional industry is so highly respected in both the scientific and academic communities, it has prompted scientists and organizations worldwide to ask if they can work with us and use the products in independent research and testing.

USDA

When our antioxidant supplement was introduced in 1992, our internal testing results sent waves throughout the scientific community. Soon, the USDA was asking to use it in a massive human immune system research project. The USDA's testing soon verified our own internal testing. USDA research showed it boosted people's immune systems 37% in 20 days.

Texas A & M Unitversity

Texas A & M University independent study on our cellular multi-vitamin also proved that it helped subjects absorb 50% more nutrients from foods already being eaten.

These are just two reasons why our vitamin supplements are the best money can buy.
